News : The FREE RideSafe Rendezvous takes North West Bikers for a day out in Blackpool

The 2009 RideSafe Rendezvous is again hoping to draw more than 6,000 motorcyclists and scooterists to a dedicated, free one-day show. The event moves to Blackpool for the first time and will build on a successful mix of stunt shows, live music, retail stands and road safety advice.

Last year’s huge draw was the free stunt show in the main arena and for 2009, motorcycle stunt rider Dave Coates will be joined by Motor Stunts International. A celebrity appearance by Steve Berry, RideSafe BackSafe ambassador,  will give bike fans the chance to meet their television hero.

What? 4th Annual RideSafe Rendezvous

Where? St Chad’s Headland, South Promenade, Blackpool, Lancashire

When? Sunday 19th April from 10.00am until 5.00pm

Why? Everyone is welcome, particularly those new to biking and youngsters thinking about getting their first bike or scooter. Riding instructors, Police motorcyclists and a number of other industry experts will be on hand to promote a simple message - Riding a motorcycle can and should be enjoyable, but as a vulnerable road user the correct information, training and clothing will make you a better and safer biker.

The event is organised by the RideSafe BackSafe Initiative and supported by Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety and Drivesafe. KillSpills, IAM, BMF, MAG and numerous local organisations will all support and attend the event.
